Somersfield Academy students excel in maths
Somersfield Academy students have been recognised for their mathematical prowess in an international contest.
The students achieved remarkable rankings in the internationally acclaimed Caribou Mathematics Contests which took place last month.
The relaunched contest saw seven of the participating students give “exceptional performances”.
Angus Shillitoe, team leader for the school’s International Baccalaureate maths programme, said: "Watching these students excel in the Caribou Mathematics Contest is truly inspiring.
“Their dedication, problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for mathematics have been key in achieving such outstanding global recognition. We couldn't be prouder of their remarkable accomplishments."
Riki Teteina, Head of School, added: “These phenomenal results not only reflect our students’ commitment to academic excellence but also underscore Somersfield’s focus on nurturing and supporting our students to strive for excellence in their academic pursuits.
“We are delighted to see our students shine on the world stage by reinvigorating our commitment to the Caribou Math Challenge”.
