Berkeley dancers to put on show inspired by social media
Students of The Berkeley Institute will perform a dance show inspired by social media this month.
The student-choreographed showcase, #Trending, will feature dancers enrolled in the school’s dance programme.
Dance instructor Nikia Manders guided the pupil choreographers to showcase their work as part of their dance production class and performance grade.
A school spokeswoman said: “The student choreographers have taken extra time outside of class to audition fellow dancers, teach and lead their peers in rehearsals.
“Students took inspiration from popular memes and trends across the various social media platforms to create their projects.”
• The show will be performed at the school’s cafetorium on March 27, from 6pm. Tickets are available at The Berkeley Institute school office for $10
