Scholarships for overseas study available now

Bermudian students can now apply for government scholarships to study overseas, Jason Hayward said yesterday.

According to the Minister of Economy and Labour, the Department of Workforce Development has provided more than $1.3 million in scholarship funding, which allowed approximately 150 Bermudian to obtain higher education, since April 2020.

Mr Hayward added: “Last year, over $350,000 in scholarship funding helped 25 Bermudians further their education.

“I look forward to many more obtaining degrees and returning home to give back to our community.”

Interested students can visit bermudascholarships.com to view and apply for the scholarships, and have until May 15 to do so.

Applicants should note which supporting documents are required with their applications, and only fully completed online forms will be considered. No hard copies are accepted.
