Interactive experience promised at upcoming art show
An exhibition showcasing the work of artists of an arts education organisation will be on display at an exhibition opening at the Bermuda Society of Arts.
According to the Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation, Through the Looking Glass: Our Upcoming Artists will run from Friday at 5pm to June 15.
A selection of paintings, sculptures, photographs and mixed-media artworks that captivate the imagination and provoke thought will be on display.
The foundation said the event will have an interactive experience to “foster dialogue, connection and appreciation for the arts within the local community”.
The exhibition will primarily showcase the works of the foundation’s older students.
The organisation said: “These students have been with Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation for a number of years and have grown in their skills and love of art.
“It has been a pleasure to watch them grow, be inspired by other artists and develop their artistic expression.”
The organisation described the upcoming event as a culmination of more than one year of work created by its Portfolio after-school classes.
"We are thrilled to unveil this exciting showcase of artistic talent at the BSoA," said Corrina Rego, who teaches Kaleidoscope’s Portfolio class.
“This gallery opening represents a culmination of our Portfolio students' work, with some highlights from our other classes.
“We invite art enthusiasts, collectors and the community at large to join us in celebrating the transformative power of art.”
