Students offered financial aid by US college

A US college has put a cap on fees for Bermudian students enrolling at the start of the next academic year.

The package, put together by Thomas College in Waterville, Maine, means Bermudian students will pay no more than $25,000 for tuition, food, housing and fees to attend this autumn.

Luke Shorty, the school’s executive director of strategic initiatives, said: “Thomas College and the island of Bermuda have had a long and wonderful history together.

“Just recently we were able to secure further financial aid for Bermudians and we are so excited to make studying in the USA affordable for all students in Bermuda.

“The opportunity to provide financial aid at a level that students who apply for fall 2024 will pay no more than $25,000 is a game-changer."

Students who are transferring from Bermuda College under the articulation agreement are eligible for the offer.
