Education fair for UK boarding schools takes place this week
A two-day education fair showcasing 16 British boarding schools is to take place at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute this week.
Beach Education is hosting the event which features returning schools the Royal Hospital School, Gordonstoun School, Bryanston School, Stowe School and Sherborne Girls’ School.
The new schools include government boarding school Wymondham College, the surfing academy school Kingsley Devon, along with Kingswood School and the all-boy’s Sherborne School.
Fiona Beach, director of Beach Education, said: “We are excited to showcase a wonderfully diverse group of outstanding boarding schools specifically invited to appeal to students in Bermuda.
“I encourage all families to come to our event and learn what options are available to their children.”
Beach Education confirmed that the Guardian Family Network will join the fair to help parents navigate the benefits of an accredited and established guardianship organisation, along with a tutoring company Whetstone Tutors which provides revision support.
Beach Education said it provided “impartial and expert” advice to families interested in a British boarding school education.
It added that a personalised service guides students towards hand-selected schools that will allow each child to flourish.
The organisation says it enables students to be nurtured in an environment of academic excellence and pastoral care, inspiring sports and extracurricular activities, and small classrooms with a focus on developing independence.
A spokeswoman for Beach Education added: “The UK has an affordable tertiary education system that offers great value when compared to its US counterparts and UK schooling can make this transition to university education much easier.”
The fair takes place on Friday from 4pm to 7pm and on Saturday from 2pm to 6pm at BUEI.
Registration is available at BermudaSchoolUK.eventbrite.com or through beacheducation.com.
