A new building designed to enhance the student experience at Warwick Academy has been opened.

The ribbon was officially cut by Mr Hunter, a former head boy and governor at Warwick Academy.

Dave Horan, the principal of Warwick Academy, said: “Cleverly located between the upper and lower fields, the Hunter Pavilion enhances the school’s community activities and sports provision, providing a valuable new resource for students and visitors alike.

“The pavilion offers modern amenities including bathrooms on both levels, changing rooms, water fountains and storage rooms.

“A covered viewing porch provides an ideal spot for spectators, while the kitchen and concession area at the one end will allow refreshments to be served during events. It will also be used as an outdoor classroom and for staging major events.

“Designed for students from Reception Year to Sixth Form, as well as the school’s sports clubs, the Hunter Pavilion is a versatile multi-purpose space.”

The pavilion, built from the ground up over the course of a year, is the result of contributions from numerous donors.

The facility includes a display of all the donors in honour of their contributions to the project.
