Saltus announces graduates’ AP results
Saltus Grammar School has announced the results of graduates’ Advanced Placement exams.
Saltus has offered AP courses, which allow high school students to earn college credits, since 1975.
A statement said 70 students took 146 AP exams during the 2023-24 academic year, with 89 per cent scoring at least a 3, the standard acceptance level as a subject credit in North American universities.
The College Board recognised 23 students for outstanding results — Darrin Charles and Kate Marcotte received a perfect score of 5 on all AP courses, and Georgia Gravestock and Jordan Greene earned a Capstone Diploma after completing AP Seminar and AP Research at Saltus.
Eleven students were named AP Scholars with Distinction after earning a 3 or higher on five or more exams and a 3.5 average, and four students who scored 3 or higher on at least four exams and a 3.25 average earned the AP Scholars with Honours designation.
The AP Scholar designation was given to eight students who scored 3 or higher on at least three AP exams.
The statement added: “These accomplishments reflect the dedication and hard work of both the students and the educators at Saltus in preparing students for success in their AP exams. Congratulations to all students on their achievements.”
