MSA celebrates graduating class success
A school in Hamilton is celebrating the success of its graduating class.
Mount St Agnes Academy said of the 26 high school graduates from its 2024 graduating class, 18 will continue their education overseas.
It said 15 of the students will attend universities in Canada, three will attend school in the United States, and seven will attend Bermuda College.
One of the graduates will take a gap year before pursuing further education, MSA said.
The school said a third of this year’s graduating class attained scholarships and bursaries that came from Western University, Dalhousie University and McMaster University, all in Canada, and Rollins College in Florida.
Some students also received scholarships from sponsors such as Centennial Bermuda, the Chubb Charitable Foundation, Belco and BFIS Fidelis.
Anna Faria-Machado, the school’s principal, said: “We are proud of this graduating class for their achievements and adaptability.
“Their dedication, perseverance and commitment to academic excellence have been reflected in these impressive outcomes.
“We look forward to seeing their continued success in the future.”
MSA said its students graduated with an Alberta High School Diploma, which it noted is internationally recognised as one of the best education systems globally.
It said the diploma provided MSA graduates with global opportunities.
