Hospitality programme opens up for Bermudians
A programme has been launched to provide hands-on experience to people interested in entering the hospitality industry.
The Department of Workforce Development said the Learn Through Experience Hospitality Programme, in partnership with key industry stakeholders, is a bespoke initiative providing Bermudians with work readiness training and specifically curated experience.
The four-week programme in February, developed with the help of industry experts, aims to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to work as front desk or room attendant specialists.
A spokesman for the department said: “Individuals will participate in classroom learning, complete local and international online courses, and be paired with participating industry partners for an in-person practicum.
“The programme aims to add value to Bermuda's vibrant hospitality industry and potentially launch new career paths.”
Highlights:
• Internationally certified course completions
• Best practice learning
• Networking opportunities
• Skill development
• Ability to earn a stipend
• Career preparation
To be eligible, applicants must:
• Provide proof of Bermuda status
