Bermuda College celebrates new Phi Theta Kappa inductees
Four outstanding students at the Bermuda College have had their academic achievements acknowledged by being accepted into a globally recognised organisation.
Diamond DeShield, Kayley Cronje, Zuri Swan and Jaden-Alex Walrond were welcomed into the Beta Chi Upsilon chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honour Society.
A Bermuda College spokesman said that the society recognises and nurtures academic excellence among students at two-year colleges worldwide.
Induction into the PTK is a noteworthy accomplishment, requiring members to meet and uphold rigorous academic standards while embodying the society’s four guiding principles — scholarship, leadership, service and fellowship.
The spokesman said: “Bermuda College takes immense pride in celebrating these scholars as they join a distinguished network of PTK members, opening doors to further academic and leadership opportunities.
“Their induction represents a significant milestone, reinforcing Bermuda College’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and preparing students for global success.”
The four were welcomed by PTK Beta Chi Upsilon advisers Jennifer Ackah, Takia Bean and Lisa Osborne.
