Student spellers welcomed by Governor

Top spellers paid a visit to Andrew Murdoch, the Governor, with the trophies they received at a competition last month.

The trio were rewarded for their skills at the Verbal Victory Bermuda Spelling Bee, which had its final at The Berkeley Institute on March 8.

Winner Jared Arnante, a Somersfield Academy pupil, attended the Governor’s residence with Olivia Brown, a Warwick Academy pupil who was runner-up.

Samantha Hernandez, a pupil at Dellwood Middle School, won third place in the competition.
