Concessions at 12 beaches and public parks will be available over the summer, the Government announced today.

Officials said proposals could be submitted for more than one location but that only one location would be awarded to each applicant.

Anyone interested in taking up a concession should send their proposal to jlcarvalho@gov.bm

Submissions must include the location, the service offered, the size of the operation, the dates and hours of operation and the business name.

Applications will be presented to the National Parks Commission at a meeting on April 19 and successful candidates will be notified by e-mail afterwards.

Concessions are available at Mangrove Bay, Somerset Long Bay, Daniel’s Head, Church Bay, Chaplin Bay, Admiralty House, the Ducking Stool, Penhurst Park, Shelly Bay, Kindley Field and St David’s Battery.

Horseshoe Bay Beach is also included, but the existing beach bar concession is excluded.

The deadline for submissions is April 18 at 5pm.
