Berkeley to present PT Barnum musical
A musical about the life of PT Barnum is set to entertain audiences next weekend at The Berkeley Institute.
The Berkeley Drama Department and Friends will perform The Greatest Showman on Saturday and Sunday in the school cafetorium.
A school spokeswoman said: “PT Barnum grew up in the 1800s and always had a natural gift for publicity and promotion.
“He tries his hands at a myriad of jobs and eventually PT Barnum directs his passion towards show business to give way to his limitless imagination, rising from nothing, to create the Barnum and Bailey circus.
“Embracing the differences of others, PT Barnum soon ushers in a dynamic theatrical production revered as one of the ‘Greatest Shows on Earth’. The musical features daring actors, acrobatics, dancers and riveting songs behind a meaningful story and guest performers.”
The Greatest Showman will be performed at 6.30pm on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday.
Tickets are available at ptix.bm with general admission tickets available for $20, patron tickets for $40, green sponsor tickets for $50 and gold sponsor tickets for $100.
