Award-winning The Banshees of Inisherin to be shown at BUEI

A tragic comedy “sure to shock and entertain” starring Colin Farrell will be screened tomorrow.

The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute will show The Banshees of Inisherin as part of its Silver Screen Series.

Directed by Academy Award-winning screenwriter and director Martin McDonagh, the film follows friends Pádraic and Colm looking to repair their friendship at any cost.

Rated R, the film stars Academy Award nominees Mr Farrell [In Bruges, Total Recall, The Gentlemen], Brendan Gleeson [In Bruges, Braveheart], Kerry Condon [The Walking Dead] and Barry Keoghan [The Killing of a Sacred Deer].

It was hailed as “a flawless tragicomedy” by The Guardian newspaper in the UK.

Tickets are available at www.buei.bm and can also be purchased via www.ptix.bm or from Oceans Gift Shop in person or by phoning 294-0204. The screening is at 2pm and runs for close to two hours.
