The community is invited to an “enchanting” evening under the stars at Chaplin Bay to enjoy two free movies.

The Department of Parks is hosting the event at the Warwick beach this evening which will include a variety of local food and drink vendors.

The first of the movies, Minions: The Rise of Gru, will screen at 8.30pm, followed by Sing 2.

A spokeswoman for the department said: “This event promises an exciting evening under the open sky as part of the ongoing free Movies in the Park summer series.

“The event will open, welcoming families and individuals to immerse themselves in an atmosphere of cinematic delight. Attendees are encouraged to bring their blankets and chairs, and are invited to savour various delectable treats and beverages from our on-site vendors.”

A rain date has been set for August 19.
