Plans to broadcast a popular US daytime TV show from Bermuda have been postponed.

Today with Hoda and Jennawas set to air live from The Loren at Pink Beach hotel today, followed by a taped broadcast tomorrow.

But NBC executives decided to pull the plug on the Bermuda episode over concerns that Hurricane Nigel could deliver storm force winds and downpours, although the hurricane eventually steered well to the east of the island and was never a threat.

Yesterday, a Loren representative said that the hotel was working with NBC to reschedule the Bermuda show.

Tom McCosker said: "Due to Hurricane Nigel's projection to impact the island as of last Friday, the team collectively decided to postpone in order to make necessary logistical changes. We are actively working with the NBC team to identify a new, future date."

The “Bermuda Bash” travel segment, presented by Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager, was set to give viewers a taste of the island’s cuisine, culture, and natural beauty.

Local singer and songwriter Mishka was also lined up to perform on the show.
