Vendors announced for City food festival
Organisers of an annual food festival have announced the line-up of vendors for its flagship event.
The Tasting Village will include 36 vendors spread across Front Street on October 15 alongside culinary displays and a wide range of entertainment.
The event is part of the Taste of Bermuda festival, which offers culinary demonstrations and tasting venues across Hamilton for three days.
Jessica Astwood, the City of Hamilton’s director of marketing and communications, said: “In previous years, the Taste of Bermuda programme has been known to bring out upwards of 4,000 attendees over the course of the weekend.
“Taste of Bermuda, the biggest curated food-centric event in Bermuda, promises to once again showcase our culture, celebrate community and support Bermuda businesses.”
The Tasting Village will feature live music from DJ Chubb and upbeat dance performances, as well as a children’s zone that will include face-painting, inflatable games and mini scramblers for free.
The flagpole will be redesigned into a culinary stage to host lively cooking demonstrations by Ashley’s Lemonade, Picky Little Eaters and Hindsight Fitness.
Chef Antwan Ellis from Intrepid and chef Daamian Simmons from the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club will also take the stage, as well as culinary artists Kamel Dickinson and Tyka Edness.
The village will also feature Gombey performances, as well as pie-eating and doughnut “bobbing” competitions.
Vendors will include: Santianni’s Mini Pancakes; Duch Pops Bermuda; Jazzy Treats; Uplift; Sensational Delights Restaurant; Urban Yummy Hub; Dill Pickle Farming; Da Gingerbread Man; Bermuda Craft Brewing; Alkaline Triangle; The Cloud; Wacky Waffle Bar; Funnelicious; Tea.
