Fresh Air Films finale will be ʽwinter pyjama’ event
Festive films will be shown at a city park for the last in a series of outdoor entertainment events this year.
The City of Hamilton announced that Fresh Air Films will be held on December 15.
Admission to the event at Queen Elizabeth Park — formerly Par-la-Ville Park — is free, and gates will open at 5.30pm.
Children and grown-ups alike can enjoy The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two from 6.30pm while The Night Before will start at 8.30pm.
A statement from the city added: “Parents and guardians should be aware that the second movie of the evening is not suitable for children due to strong language and mature subject matter.”
Jessica Astwood, director of marketing and communications, said: “We’re excited to bring our Winter Pyjama Edition of Fresh Air Films back to beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park for the series finale event of the year.
“The holiday spirit is already in the air, and we are excited to close the year with this public favourite.”
Food will be available to buy from on-site vendors, including Hot Dog Delight and Novel Tea.
Guests were invited to “wear pyjamas, get comfortable, and take in the merriment of the festive season”.
The statement added: “Moviegoers are also encouraged to patronise city restaurants and bring their own takeout dinners to enjoy during the films.
“Suggested parking is at any of the nearby car parks, including Par-la-Ville Car Park, Number One Car Park or City Hall Car Park.
“In the event of inclement weather, this event will be cancelled.”
