Chewstick brings creative retreat to Ports Island
The Chewstick Foundation is hosting a creative retreat on Ports Island this weekend.
Described as “immersive and rejuvenating”, the retreat will take place from March 15 to 17 with a programme designed to spark creativity, connection and personal growth.
Deidra-Lee Bean, operations director at Chewstick, said: "Ports Island provides the perfect backdrop for self discovery and connection. We look forward to welcoming creatives, storytellers and just regular folks from near and far to come together and create meaningful memories."
An introduction to acting will be led by Patricia Pogson Nesbitt, a stalwart playwright and dedicated educator, and additional workshops on yoga and songwriting will be held.
"We extend our heartfelt thanks to retreat alumni, sponsors and the retreat team as they continue the work of breaking down barriers and bringing people together for a better Bermuda and better world,” added Gavin Smith, the founder of Chewstick. "
“The support of donors, community members, volunteers and the creative community has been instrumental in giving our vision new life, and we are grateful for their dedication to our cause."
The Chewstick Retreat offers participants an opportunity to step away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and immerse themselves in a tranquil island setting.
Ms Bean added: “Located amid the stunning natural beauty of Ports Island, attendees will have the chance to unwind, recharge and engage in a variety of enriching activities designed to nourish the mind, body and spirit.
“Throughout the weekend, attendees will have access to a diverse range of workshops, discussions and experiential sessions facilitated by skilled practitioners and thought leaders.”
