BUEI to screen romantic comedy
The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute will screen the romantic comedy She Came to Me this weekend.
The film, which will be shown in the Tradewinds Auditorium at 7.30pm on Saturday, is part of the organisation’s Films at BUEI series, which presents productions on the big screen every other weekend.
She Came to Me was nominated for Best Original Song at the Golden Globe Awards and Best Original Score in an independent film during the Hollywood Music in Media Awards.
The music-based film stars Emmy Award winner Peter Dinklage as operetta composer Steve Lauddem, who finds more than he bargained for while trying to finish the score for his big comeback opera. It is rated R and has a run-time of one hour, 42 minutes.
The organisation will screen the Academy Award-winning American Fiction on April 13.
Tickets for Saturday’s showing are $15 for general admission and $25 for the big-screen package, which includes a drink of choice — a glass of wine from Beringer Main & Vine, an Italian Moretti beer or a non-alcoholic beverage — and a snack pack.
Moviegoers can also get 10 per cent off a meal at the Harbourfront Restaurant before or after the showing if they make a reservation. They can call 295-4207 to do so.
• Tickets can be purchased through buei.bm, ptix.bm, by visiting the Oceans gift shop or calling 294-0204
