Annual piano festival returns this month with three concerts
Students of all ages and levels can register for free music lessons during the Bermuda Piano Festival this month.
The seventh annual event is to take place over five days at Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art.
Three concerts are scheduled for June 18, 20 and 22, with each starting at 7.30pm.
Alex Tuchman, a pianist and the festival’s founder and artistic director, said: “The concert programmes feature works for piano solo, duet and chamber ensemble featuring top performers from around the world.”
He added: “Each concert features an exciting combination of performers and musical styles, not to be missed by music lovers.”
Mr Tuchman, as well as renowned pianists Eteri Andjaparidze, Inga Kashakashvili and Vladimir Rumyantsev, will perform at the event.
Clarinettist Pavel Vinnitsky, of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and cellist Sumire Kudo, of the New York Philharmonic, will also feature in the festival.
Mr Tuchman said the event was offering free master classes and private lessons with the visiting musicians in piano, clarinet and cello on June 19.
