Bermudians to fly high next month
Residents have been invited to “roll up, roll up” for a new circus that will come to Bermuda next month.
Bermudian aerialists Kallie Marcus and Satinka Smith will perform with acts from around the world in Circus International from November 22 to 24.
A statement from the organisers said: “Audiences of all ages can look forward to a series of thrilling shows featuring high-flying daredevils, aerialists, acrobats, hilarious clowns, live music, intermission activities and much more.”
It added: “Circus International features artists from around the world including performers from Cirque du Soleil, Ringling Brothers Circus and America’s Got Talent.
“Shows are sure to captivate and entertain spectators with breathtaking performances that will leave them on the edge of their seats.”
Ms Marcus, who performed with Super American Circus last year, said in June that the acts were “all doing what we love to do and we do it for the children and to inspire them”.
Ms Smith, 16, won a bronze medal in her first aerial competition, the Aerialympics Season VII Regional, in 2021.
She said earlier: “Outside of the physical challenge, being an aerialist is also a mental challenge, but it’s something that I genuinely enjoy — I love being able to share my gift with the world.”
Other acts that will perform next month are expected to include daredevil Enrique Valencia, clown Coco Kramer and acrobat Hayley Larson.
Montana DeBor and Facundo Kramer formed Menagerie Productions, which is behind Circus International. The company debuted its first circus in Nassau, Bahamas, in May.
The Bermuda shows will be held in the Shed in Dockyard at 4.30pm and 7.30pm on November 22, with three performances each on the 23 and 24.
• Tickets range from $40 to $150 for VIPs and can be purchased at circusinternationalbda.com, ptix.bm or at the door before each show
