Keep Bermuda Beautiful is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Bermuda’s number 1 radio station, Irie 98.

The radio station has officially adopted KBB as its charity of choice.

This collaboration will amplify KBB’s mission to inspire individuals to take greater responsibility in reducing waste and eliminating litter.

KBB’s executive director, Angel Smith, said: “This exciting partnership will see KBB launch a brand-new segment, Trash Talk Tuesday, on Irie 98.

“This informative programme is designed to keep the public engaged and informed on waste management topics ranging from correct trash and recycling disposal to abandoned boats and adopt-a-spot projects.

“It will also share updates on KBB’s events, initiatives and community clean-ups where students can earn community service hours.

“Listeners can tune in weekly to learn how they can get involved and contribute to a cleaner, greener and more beautiful Bermuda.”

The radio station’s owners said: “This partnership comes at a perfect time, as Irie 98 celebrates its one-year milestone, and allows us to give back to the community that has supported us in becoming Bermuda’s top radio station.

“At Irie 98, we believe that everyone has a role to play in protecting our environment and we will be participating in a KBB clean-up during the year.”

KBB is grateful to Irie 98 for its commitment and support which will help to significantly amplify our awareness-building and clean-up efforts.

KBB also extends a special thank you to local vocalist Sia Spence for lending her incredible talent to the Trash Talk Tuesday intro jingle, Let’s Talk About Trash, and to producer Shondell Easton of Platinum Studio for recording this catchy and engaging track.

Bermuda, be sure to tune in and listen out for Trash Talk Tuesday with Keep Bermuda Beautiful on Irie 98 starting April 8 — because together, we can make a difference.
