Cancer and the environment talk to be held this week

A cancer specialist is to deliver a free online talk on the environment and cancer this week.

Chris Fosker, a cancer specialist, will give the presentation and take questions from the public on Thursday.

Dr Fosker will review ways the natural environment could make people vulnerable to cancer, along with the cancer risks caused by human impact on the environment.

He will give pointers on lifestyle choices to limit cancer risk, as well as dealing with cancer misinformation spread on social media.

The event was organised by the Bermuda Environmental Sustainability Taskforce and the Bermuda College.

It is the third presentation in their joint Eco Lunch and Learn series.

Dr Fosker is the medical director and radiation oncologist at the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre, as well as director of cancer services at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Viewers can access the presentation on YouTube or Facebook.

The audience can submit questions for the Q&A session on the chat options on both.
