BNT executive director leaves after five months in the job

The executive director of the Bermuda National Trust is to step down just months after he was appointed, The Royal Gazette can reveal.

Andrew Vaucrosson, a former president of environmental charity Greenrock and an executive in the banking and reinsurance sector, took on the job of at the start of last November.

Alana Anderson, president of the Trust, sent a message to members to confirm Mr Vaucrosson had left the Trust.

She said he had “concluded that he is not the right fit for the organisation and we respect his decision and appreciate his candour”.

Ms Anderson added: “We are parting ways as friends.”

She said the BNT was focused on “ensuring that the Trust continues its crucial work with the leadership it needs”.

She added: “With the heightened awareness and increased knowledge of the perils posed by climate change, our work is needed more than ever.”
