First virtual Ag Show to be held this month
Bermuda’s first virtual Agricultural Exhibition is to go ahead on later this month.
Organisers said the May 21 date was set after weeks of consultation to ensure a socially distanced event in line with the Government’s phased plans for loosening Covid-19 restrictions.
Antwan Albuoy, the exhibition director, said: “The show must go on.”
He added: “We are pleased and yet humbled by the level of positive response received from the community regarding our efforts to push forward with an Ag Show, despite the many obstacles and challenges the island has faced within the last few months.
“The participation in this iconic event proves the absolute resilience in our community and the need for us to come together in an event that brings us joy and reminds us of the normal routine we are trying to bring back.”
Mr Albuoy thanked sponsors, including lead sponsor Axis Capital, and said updates would be shared via the Ag Show’s pages on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
