Ariel Re staff help KBB clean-up Southlands Park and beach

Staff from a Bermuda-based reinsurance company helped to clean up Southlands National Park and beach in support of Keep Bermuda Beautiful.

Fifteen volunteers from Ariel Re — including chief executive officer Ryan Mather — cleared 600lb of trash from trails and abandoned buildings, as well as from the beach and parking area.

“We are immensely privileged to live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world,” said Sophia Smethurst, of the Ariel Re Charity Committee, which organised the clean-up.

“Ariel Re is delighted to help groups such as KBB, who do a wonderful job in trying to keep our paradise island in pristine condition.”

KBB executive director Traci Burgess said: “We had a lot of fun with the Ariel Re team and thank everyone for their tremendous efforts. We love our corporate partners and appreciate all they do to give back to Bermuda.”

The Ariel Re members of staff who took part were: JayLynn Hines, Giovanni Hollis, Rebecca Hurdle, Alison Hyland, Sophia Marshall, Ryan Mather, Carolina Medeiros, Mark Pickett, Neil Pohlman, Joel Willens, Morgan Siese, Sarah Skinner, Sophia Smethurst, Camryn Swan and Lauren Way.
