A rollover schedule will be in effect for household waste collection this week as a result of the Remembrance Day holiday.

The Ministry of Public Works explained the rollover means that household waste regularly collected on Monday will be collected today.

Today's trash will be collected tomorrow, and so on, until Saturday.

“Tin, aluminium and glass recycling will be unaffected by Monday's holiday, with West End recycling collected on November 16, and East End recyclables collected on November 17.

“The Tynes Bay public drop-off will be open from 9am to noon on the Monday holiday.”
