Photographers sought for BNT 2025 nature calendar
Photographers have been called once more by the Bermuda National Trust to put their skills on display for its annual calendar contest.
Last year’s contest — which the charity threw open to the whole community for the first time — took in more than 200 pictures of the island’s architectural heritage, with top entries chosen for the final design.
Dörte Horsfield, BNT’s head of development and engagement, said it resulted in “a beautiful, very well-received 2024 calendar”.
This year’s subject is the island’s flora and fauna.
Submissions for the Natural Wonderland 2025 Calendar photo contest are being sought from amateur and professional photographers of all ages.
Anyone artistically inclined is invited to capture Bermuda’s natural world, both plant and animal, with entries judged on creativity, originality, portrayal of the theme and overall impact.
Finalists will be featured in the BNT 2025 calendar, with the People’s Choice winner receiving $500.
Dr Horsfield said the calendar was one of the charity’s annual fundraisers, helping the trust to protect and promote Bermuda’s natural and cultural heritage “for everyone, for ever”.
“It is supported by many local businesses who sponsor the individual calendar pages every year and we are thankful for their loyal funding.”
Submissions should be sent to palmetto@bnt.bm along with contact information by March 1.
Pictures must be submitted in jpeg, jpg or gif format, at least 640 pixels on the short side and no more than 2,000 pixels on the longer side.
Images should be no larger than 10MB.
