Students volunteered their time to help clear invasive species and plant native vegetation at the Rebecca Middleton Nature Reserve in Paget.

A post on the Bermuda National Trust Facebook page said that the work was made possible thanks to financial support from the QBE Foundation.

The post said: “These funds enabled us to purchase native plants and organise volunteer days, involving the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute education team and students from Bermuda College.

“During these volunteer days, students helped remove invasive species, plant new native vegetation and clear trails within the reserve.

“The students developed new skills but also gained hands-on experience in conservation and team-building while restoring an inland valley habitat.”
