Nisbett returns to host equestrian clinics
Patrick Nisbett will return to local shores next week to host clinics as well as design the course for the Bermuda Horse and Pony Association (BHPA) Fall Show.
The clinics will see two junior members given two free clinics with the international jumper from November 4-7.
“We are hoping a few more children get to know him a bit better and that he can teach them a few new techniques they can use going forward,” said Heidi Mello of the BHPA.
“The topics covered will be preparing for a show, how to dress appropriately for competitions, how to show your horse for each class/discipline and how to care for your horse after a show.”
Prior to the clinics, Nisbett will host a ‘Lunch and Learn’ ground clinic on November 2 for free to any Bermuda Equestrian Federation (BEF) and BHPA paid up junior member.
Priority spots will be given to the junior members taking part in the clinics.
Also on Nisbett’s agenda when he returns home will be designing the course for the BHPA Fall Show, something he hasn’t done for more than decade.
“It is a pleasure for us to have him design this course,” added Mello.
“He has been around the world and it’s been quite a while since he has been here to design one so it will be fun time.”
Any junior interested can contact Mello at malla@therock.bm to reserve a spot.
The deadline is today.
