McKey’s focused on Games spot
Virginia McKey is moving her bid to qualify for the Pan American Games to Canada.
McKey has already secured Bermuda’s spot in the dressage event for July’s games, after an impressive showing at the Central American and Caribbean Games in November.
The Bermuda rider and her mount, Wolkenglanz, have competed in several international events since the competition in Mexico, including at the three-month long Global Dressage Festival in Florida.
Mckey said that with every event she became more comfortable in the ring, but knew she was running out of time to qualify.
There are two remaining international dressage shows being held in Ontario before the Pan Am Games, and Mckey said she was “determined to proudly represent Bermuda in Dressage at the 2015 Pan Am Games and fulfill a life long dream.”
