Kiwon Waldron dominates the podium in Indiana

Swift progress: Kiwon Waldron has been an overnight success in Canada

Kiwon Waldron continued his winning ways competing at the Nappanee Raceway in Indiana last week.

The Bermudian driver achieved five podium displays, including three wins on as many different ponies.

Waldron made the perfect start after claiming victory with gelding WB Thunderstruck in 1min 09sec in his opening heat.

He was also victorious with 12-year-old gelding Cherokee’s Ironman (1:02/3), owned by Bermuda Cricket Board president and former player Arnold Manders, and mare GV Amy’s Memorial (1:04/4).

The talented driver then capped off another impressive showing by securing second with mare Me So Fancy (1:08/1) and third at the helm of four-year-old stud Pokie’s Fly By (1:04) respectively.

Waldron is no stranger to competing overseas, having had a highly successful stint with Allard Racing on the Canadian harness racing scene in 2019.

He has also enjoyed success back home, blazing what was then a track and geldings record (1min 1.40sec) with Random Stables' Indiana-bred pony War Machine at Vesey Street in 2018.
