Cody Rego registers hat-trick of wins in Florida
It was a week to remember for Bermuda equestrian Cody Rego as he produced a string of victories in the WEF 3 NetJets CS1 event held in Wellington, Florida.
Riding the bay gelding Ironman, Rego managed three wins, tasting success in the WIHS Hunter Phase class and the WIHS Jumper Phase class as well as clinching top spot in the overall standings out of a total of 58 competitors.
Following his latest batch of triumphs, Rego is now ranked second of the 86 competitors in the 2023 WIHS Ranking List for the Equitation East Division, with the finals of the competition scheduled to take place at the Washington International Horse Show from October 23 to 29.
Qualification for the prestigious finals is based upon performance in the East Coast and West Coast Leagues with the top 30 riders from the East and the top ten riders from the West invited to compete.
