The America’s Cup has already brought in a wave of the world’s best sailors, but it is also attracting Grammy Award-winning musicians.
Last month the Hawaii-born singer songwriter Jack Johnson was in Bermuda to meet Team Oracle at Dockyard and catch a glimpse of their operation. Johnson was given a tour of the US team’s base in the West End that was later posted on to the Team Oracle’s Facebook page with the comment: “Think we can convince him to perform at the Bermuda World Series race in October?”
Johnson, a former professional surfer, has won several Billboard, MTV and Grammy Awards for his folk rock albums.
