KES The Band take the stage on Saturday
Trinidad and Tobago’s KES The Band is set to take the stage in the America’s Cup Village on Saturday for Conquer Cancer Foundation Day.
The pop/soca group have become known for their blend of “soulful vocals, calypso-inspired melodies, rock riffs and island beats”, according to an ACBDA spokesman.
Lead singer Kees Dieffenthaller said: “We are honoured to be invited to perform and are very much looking forward to being part of this incredible event. We look forward to seeing everyone come out to have a great time with us.”
The band is scheduled to perform on the main stage at the America’s Cup Village after racing on Saturday. Tickets for the show and the day’s sailing — the first day of the finals of the America’s Cup Challenger Playoffs — are available at www.americascup.com/tickets for $30.
While spaces on the Village Grandstand are sold out, tickets are still available for general admission, Gosling’s Dark ‘n Stormy Island Bar and the Longtail Lounge.
