The AXA End-to-End will take to Bermuda’s roads today, rain or shine.

Organisers this afternoon urged participants to keep an eye on the weather forecast before setting out.

The Bermuda Weather Service has forecast rainy conditions throughout tomorrow, brought on by a cold front approaching the island from the West.

Organisers also cautioned motorists that they should expect additional traffic because of the annual charity fundraiser.

A spokeswoman added: “Participants should be aware of the ongoing roadworks, particularly the one-way traffic in St George, and must obey all traffic lights and directions and take any necessary precautions.

“Participants are welcome to start anywhere along the route, anytime in the day as long as they arrive by the 4pm closure of the event in Dockyard.”

Ferries are scheduled to depart Dockyard at 12.45pm, 2.30pm, 4pm and 5.30pm, and participants are also invited to use the HITCH app to secure rides home, with a pick-up station located near the ferry terminal.

This year’s AXA End-to-End is a SafeKey event, and organisers called on anyone who is symptomatic to stay at home.
