BNT Auction and Jumble Sale returns this week
The Bermuda National Trust will launch its annual Auction and Jumble Sale fundraising event today at the Botanical Gardens.
Volunteers were today preparing the Jack King Building and Commercial Slat House for the popular event, setting out a wide array of items for sale.
A BNT spokeswoman said: “The event attracts bargain hunters and antique collectors keen to find treasures at great prices.
“The jumble sale on Thursday and Friday has something for everyone from affordable jewellery; unique treasures; household decor; books; china; furniture; electrical goods; children’s goods and toys; kitchen items; sporting equipment; and Christmas decor.
“The auction, which starts at 10am on Saturday, includes antique furniture, including many Bermuda cedar pieces; sterling silver items, including some Bermuda silver; artefacts carved by Boer War prisoners; fine china; antique lighting fixtures; artwork; carpets; clocks; and curios.
“The money raised from the event helps the Bermuda National Trust to fulfil its mission to protect and promote Bermuda’s unique natural and cultural heritage for everyone, for ever.”
The jumble sale and auction preview will be held today from 8.30am to 6.30pm and continue on Friday between 8.30am and 2pm.
The auction itself will start at 10am on Saturday.
