Eliza DoLittle Society benefits from Charity Cup

Charity benefits from football donations

The Eliza DoLittle Society has benefited from a donation by the winners of the Bermuda Football Association’s Charity Cup.

PHC chose the Eliza DoLittle Society, which provides healthy and nutritious solutions to those experiencing food insecurity in Bermuda and has the aim of enhancing their quality of life, as the recipients of funds raised from the game, which took place at Devonshire Recreation Club on September 1.

Lindo’s Group sponsors the senior men's cup competitions and continues to support initiatives that benefit Bermuda's football community and charitable causes.

“Lindo’s proudly sponsors the BFA cup games again this year,” manager Zach Moniz said.

“Congratulations to PHC Zebras on winning last week’s Charity Cup and we fully support the BFA in their efforts to give back to our wider community through the Charity Cup.

“We look forward to the exciting season ahead and all the passion and drama that comes with it.”

Bermuda Football Association president Mark Wade is thrilled that the organisation is helping local charities.

“The season-opener has always provided excitement for fans who have been starved of local football since April,” Wade said.

This year we have added a new element that will see a donation, determined by gate receipts, made to The Eliza DoLittle Society on behalf of PHC. A great start to the season and gust the way we like it.”
