BAA forfeit first match of football season

The first game of the new First Division between Robin Hood and BAA on Friday night has been cancelled after BAA forfeited the match.

BAA, who had dropped out of the league last season before returning for this campaign, have said that they are unable to field a team because of a large amount of injuries.

It is expected that Robin Hood, who were set to play their first game under new head coach Cecoy Robinson, will be awarded three points.

There have also been a number of schedule changes to the Premier Division this weekend with the match between Devonshire Colts and Hamilton Parish, which was set to take place at Police Field at 3pm on Saturday, now “tentatively rescheduled” for Monday night at 7pm at Devonshire Rec.

The game between Young Men’s Social Club and North Village, originally slated for Police Field on Sunday at 4pm, has also been moved to Devonshire Rec on Monday night with a kick-off time of 9pm.
