The Bermuda Under-12 national football team will play Arsenal and Feyenoord in the United Kingdom this week.

The young players are departing the island on Wednesday night and heading to East Anglia to compete in the prestigious Norwich City Mina Cup UK, a renowned global tournament for under-12 teams, held at the Lotus Training Centre in Norwich.

The Bermuda Football Association’s technical development director, Maurice Lowe, expressed his excitement about the opportunity for the burgeoning talents to showcase their skills.

“This is a first for us and it speaks well not only about our national programme but also about the talent being produced domestically,” Lowe said.

“Our young players have the potential to achieve great things and this tournament will provide them with invaluable experience and exposure.”

The tournament, which will take place on October 12 and 13, features 16 elite teams from around the world battling it out for the coveted title and a chance to qualify for the Mina Cup Dubai 2025.

Each team is guaranteed eight games, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Gold Cup, while the bottom two will compete in the Silver Cup.
