Nahki does what Nahki does: Bristol City coach sings praises of Bermuda striker
Nahki Wells scored again as Bristol City inflicted Norwich City’s first home defeat in more than a year in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday.
Wells scored his side’s second goal in the 63rd minute in a 2-0 win to propel the Robins up to tenth in the league, just two points outside the play-off places.
The Bermudian striker has been in rich goalscoring form since rediscovering his goalscoring boots when scoring a hat-trick against Dominica on his return to the national team last month.
The goal against Norwich was Wells’s fourth in six games since returning to the national fold and Bristol City coach Liam Manning was quick to praise the striker, who has worked his way back into the starting XI after beginning the season as a regular substitute.
“Nahki does what Nahki does and it was a fantastic finish from him,” Manning said.
“It doesn’t surprise me because I see him do it daily in training. His quality is excellent and he deserves a huge amount of credit for the shape he’s in, the condition that he’s in and the hunger that he still has.
“I can’t compliment him enough. He’s so tough on himself in the standards that he sets every day and he is a great role model for quite a young group.”
