Young Men’s Social Club will look to maintain winning ways when they square off with Hamilton Parish in an intriguing Premier Division match-up at Goose Gosling Field tonight (9pm).

Bluebirds coach Michael Smith says his players are heading into the match full of confidence after a 1-0 win over Devonshire Cougars at the weekend.

“We felt like that game against Cougars was a must-win game as far as the result is concerned,” Smith told The Royal Gazette.

“We were thrilled to come out with the three points and are just looking to put in a similar performance of hard work and sticking to the game plan. We respect the opponent and are going to prepare like any other game looking to get three points.”

Hot Peppers are on a two-game unbeaten run after playing to a 2-2 draw against landlords St George’s Colts last weekend.

“It’s definitely going to be a hard game,” Parish coach Sergio Goater said.

“They are coming off a win and are within touching distance of us, so it’s very important that we get maximum points against them.”

First Division rivals Vasco and Robin Hood will kick off proceedings at 7pm.

• The Premier Division game between Wolves and Devonshire Cougars on Sunday will now take place at Devonshire Rec (3pm).
