Women’s under-20 squad named for Concacaf qualifiers
The Bermuda squad has been announced for the Concacaf Women’s Under-20 qualifiers.
Head coach Aaron Denkins will lead a squad of 21 players to Trinidad & Tobago next week for the first stage of qualifying for the Under-20 World Cup.
Bermuda have been drawn in Group E in the competition and will play their first game against the host nation on Friday, February 21, at 7pm before taking on powerhouse Canada at 4pm on Sunday, February 23. They end their group campaign with a match against Dominica on Tuesday, February 25, with all matches taking place at Ato Boldon Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
After round-robin play only the winner of each group (six teams in total) will advance to the 2025 Concacaf U-20 Women’s Championship and join the two pre-seeded top-ranked nations, the United States and Mexico.
The four semi-finalists from that stage will qualify for the 2025 Women’s Under-20 World Cup in Mexico.
