Organisers of the Kappa Classic have suspended play for the rest of Saturday as a result of poor weather.

Matches were originally suspended until 1pm because of lightning and heavy rain but a decision has been taken to bring a halt to the event for the entire day.

“Due to current conditions and to ensure everyone’s safety, we’ve made the decision to suspend today’s games,” read a statement on the Kappa Classic website.

“Play will continue tomorrow at 7am, continuing with today’s schedule.”
