where they will hear the latest news about pay talks.

Civil servants have been working without a contract since October last year, said Bermuda Public Servant's Association General Secretary Ed Ball.

But he gave little away about the state of negotiations. "Basically I have to get a mandate from the membership on one particular issue.'' He said issues were "the usual stuff'' including pay and benefits.

The meeting is to be held at St. Paul's Centennial Hall, in Court Street, Hamilton at 5.15 p.m.

Meanwhile Mr. Ball said there had been no further news from the Bermuda Hospitals Board after a pay offer for nurses was rejected on Friday.

The union are hoping for a new offer from the board in time for a mass meeting of nurses tomorrow.

The union has already signed an agreement for a pay offer from the board but then said it had misunderstood the terms.
