Apex Group collaborating with San Francisco’s Flow

Bermuda’s Apex Group is working with Flow, a San Francisco start-up specialising in systems for asset mangers, to deliver Flow's Investor Lifecycle Management Platform to venture capital investors.

The platform helps investors throughout the life of a fund, with reporting, onboarding, data, distribution and capital-call management.

Together the two companies will deliver the product to customers to improve their experience and help them to save money.

The co-operation will allow Apex to continue to offer a “single-source solution for all fund administration and related needs.”

Flow was founded in 2018 and has raised $20 million in two rounds, according to Crunchbase. The company “serves nearly 300 investment firms and over 18,000 limited partners”, according to a statement announcing the agreement with Apex Group.

Apex was founded 2003. It has 94 offices worldwide and more than 12,000 employees in 38 countries.

This month, it purchased Retransform a global proptech company.

Of the deal with Flow, Georges Archibald, chief innovation officer and regional managing director, Americas, Apex Group, said: "Our partnership with Flow unlocks significant efficiencies for both companies that ultimately benefit the end investor and the venture capital markets overall. We have worked extensively with Flow, and are excited to combine the professionalism and innovative approach of both teams to augment our solutions."

Flow cofounder and CEO Brendan Marshall said: "Our mission at Flow is to remove friction across the universe of networks that form between investors, funds and the service providers making them possible. Our partnership with Apex Group and its global single-source solution further accelerates these networks by seamlessly integrating our open architecture with its services. Removing that friction unlocks private market strategies and accelerates connecting capital to ideas."
