Perinchief now preventive maintenance manager at Hamilton Princess
Collington Perinchief has been promoted to preventive maintenance manager at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club.
He has been with the company for 11 years. Mr Perinchief began his career at the resort as a houseman, before he promoted to rooms maintenance supervisor.
As preventive maintenance manager, he will be in charge of the maintenance of the hotel’s interior. This includes the lobby, restaurants, hallways and guest rooms.
Mr Perinchief built his own home in Somerset, and as hobbies, he likes to restore old Mobylettes and build model planes, boats and helicopters.
He worked at The Willowbank Resort, first as a pot washer and then as a waiter. Later, he took and apprenticeship at Bermuda Telephone Company, where he went on to work for 25 years installing and maintaining larger PBX systems, including the system at the Hamilton Princess.
“I really enjoy restoring things to their natural beauty and making repairs,” Mr Perinchief said. “I was able to take my years of acquired craftsmanship and service, and add my personal touch to ensure that the Hamilton Princess remains pristine. Opened in 1885, the Hamilton Princess has 386 rooms.
