Government looking to revamp jobs website
The Government is planning a revamp of a jobs website to “better serve the evolving needs of both job seekers and employers”.
An RFP has been issued asking experienced web developers and design firms to submit proposals to redesign and update the Bermuda Job Board.
“We are committed to empowering Bermuda's workforce and supporting our local employers with the best tools available,” said the Minister of Economy and Labour Jason Hayward.
“This new platform will be a cornerstone in our strategy to enhance job readiness and employment outcomes, providing seamless access to opportunities, training resources and career guidance.”
According to a spokesman, the ministry is seeking to replace the current Bermuda Job Board, which was launched in 2013, with a “state-of-the-art website designed to better serve the evolving needs of both job seekers and employers”.
The spokesman said the envisioned website would offer “a robust set of features to meet the diverse needs of the community”.
Features will include access to micro courses and career pathway videos — a catalogue of videos that guide job seekers through various career options.
Mr Hayward added: “This is more than just a website; it’s a critical tool for economic empowerment, aligning with the Government’s broader mission to equip Bermudians with the resources they need to succeed in a dynamic job market.”
Proposals will be evaluated based on their ability to deliver a solution that meets the highest functionality, security, and user experience standards, added the spokesman.
